About Aveyla Manta Village
About Aveyla Manta Village
Aveyla Manta Village was built in 2014, and is the brainchild of two locals with a shared passion for diving. Boasting a combined experience of over 30-years in the dive industry, the pair travelled the Maldives in search of the perfect spot to build their resort – settling on an idyllic beach overlooking Hanifaru Bay in the heart of the Maldives’ only UNESCO marine biosphere reserve. Designed in an authentic style, this resort provides affordable luxury with a touch of village charm.
Despite its secluded location, Aveyla Manta Village offers all the comforts of a larger and more sophisticated hotel, and is ideally situated to experience the very best of what the Maldives has to offer. Extensive palm-lined beaches, spectacular diving opportunities, and authentic island experiences combine to create a truly unforgettable trip.
Explore the resort
Aveyla’s Loamafaanu Restaurant boasts a state of the art kitchen and is located beside the beach, allowing guests to enjoy the day’s catch with the sand between their toes. Buffet and a la carte options are available and the menu includes a fusion of traditional and modern cuisine with an emphasis on flavour and quality ingredients. Special dining experiences can also be organised including romantic beach dining, secluded meals on a sandbank, and beach barbecues. The Juice Bar is open throughout the day and serves wholesome juices and delicious milkshakes.
Aveyla Manta Village offers simple luxury, allowing guests to relax on the secluded sundeck, on the private white sand beach, or in a hammock slung beneath the shade of the palm trees. Other more energetic activities provided at the resort include stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and windsurfing. Hanifaru Bay is just five minutes from Aveyla Manta Village, providing incredible snorkelling experiences – particularly June to November when it is visited by huge congregations of manta rays. Snorkelling excursions, dolphin watching, sunset cruises and big game fishing are also offered by the resort. Weekly Maldivian cultural events are hosted at Aveyla, showcasing the best of local talent, as well as regular discos, and films screenings.
