Day 1: Check in at Kaimana
After being greeted at the airport or hotel by Scubaspa ZEN crew, travel to the harbor and embark Scubaspa ZEN. Enjoy a short rest before unpacking while the spa opens to offer information and treatment reservations. Crew introductions and boat briefings will be held by the cruise managers, followed by a welcome dinner at our restaurant.
Days 2-4: Triton Bay
Diving in Triton Bay is a rewarding adventure in one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. This area offers magnificent diving experiences, including beautiful soft coral, giant sea fans, black coral forests, and large schools of fish. We encountered a few Wobbegong sharks, but what makes Triton Bay truly special are the colorful corals and vibrant marine life. With over 959 different types of fish and 471 types of corals, Triton Bay is a diver's paradise. Highlights include black coral forests, sweetlips benches, vibrant macro life, and a good chance to encounter whale sharks at the Triton Bay Bagan, where these giants visit fishing platforms to feed. The diverse marine life and the proliferation of gigantic, colorful sponges will delight even the most experienced divers.
Day 5: Fak Fak / Momon Island
The next stop will be Fak-Fak or Papisoi, depending on the weather conditions. Normally Fak-Fak is more exposed to the winds and swells, and in Papisoi you can find more protection.
In Fak-Fak there is a beautiful waterfall where you can go by tenders, and if there are no big swells, you can even swim around. The water normally is cold around the waterfall, and you can try to get to the back from the left side, where you will find a little cave where you can enjoy looking at the waterfall without getting wet.
Day 6: Pisang Islands
The stunning archipelago with a set of islands, when you dive around the theme, you'll be surrounded by lively coral reefs packed with all sorts of sea creatures. There's a chance you might spot T-Bone (aka Hammerhead), along with some lovely beaches and uncharted patch reefs to the north and a set of patch reefs to the north that are largely unexplored.
Days 7-8: Misool
Misool, in the southern part of Raja Ampat, is renowned for its exceptional diving spots. Known for its colorful soft corals, sea fans, and diverse marine life, Misool offers some of the best diving in the region. Key highlights include:
Daram: Top diving and snorkeling sites like Warna Berwarna, Andiamo, and The Candy Store.
Fiabacet Islands: Featuring healthy, beautiful reefs, abundant macrolife, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, and black mantas.
Romeo Dive: Ideal for night dives to see walking sharks.
Wayil Batan: A channel with strong currents and excellent macro diving at Gorgonian Passage.
Pelee Island: Dive sites like Kaleidoscope Ridge, known for its colorful soft corals, mobular rays, and wobbegong sharks, and Toblerone, famous for its unique swim-through and large hard coral gardens.
Days 9-10: Central / Dampier Straits
The strait between Waigeo and Batanta is gaining renown for its exceptional diving in Raja Ampat, thanks to the nutrient-rich currents flowing through. It's a diver's paradise, offering everything you could hope for underwater. Besides the usual wonders and the joy of spotting rare creatures like the Pontohi pygmy seahorse, each dive holds surprises.
The marine life here is abundant, thriving amid healthy coral. Wobbegong sharks are a common sight, especially at Mioskon. Cape Kri boasts an impressive 374 fish species spotted in just 90 minutes. Blue Magic, a submerged seamount, offers a chance encounter with giant manta rays. Interestingly, Sardine Reef is devoid of sardines yet teems with fusiliers, surgeonfish, trevallies, rainbow runners, sweetlips, and bannerfish. The reef, adorned with sea fans, soft corals, and elephant ear sponges, echoes with the thunderous sound of fish swiftly darting through the water.
Day 11: Sorong—Check out.
After breakfast and the last exchange of photos and memories, the crew and Scubaspa ZEN will say our fondest farewells and transport you either to your hotel or the airport.
